Katherine Johnson was a NASA mathematician, nicknamed ‘the computer’ and calculated the details of the flight path the Apollo spacecraft would take from Earth to the moon.
Katherine Johnson received many awards and we are honored to teach some of the fundamental theories she used to calculate the Apollo Flight Path that landed Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the Moon on July 20, 1969.
